'Law & Order: SVU' Season 17 Spoilers: Dick Wolf drama plots rape crime on Feb. 3rd episode

By

Law & Order SVU will tackle a rape crime on its upcoming Feb. 3rd installment. The episode titled “Forty-One Witnesses” will also feature the guest starring appearances of Hamilton co-stars Daveed Diggs and Anthony Ramos.

Viewers are set for another gripping crime-solving mystery when Law & Order SVU unspools a rape-centered arc in an episode slated to air next month. Per NBC’s episode description, the hour will follow the case of a woman who is followed in her house and sexually assaulted outside her building.

The plot thickens when several neighbors of the victim witnessed the crime but unfortunately failed to call for immediate help.

While NBC did not reveal any minor arcs for the episode, it can be assumed that “Forty-One Witnesses” will be another relevant issue that was inspired from the sexual assault cases that hit the headlines in the past.

Hollywood site Entertainment Weekly reported about the episode’s casting details earlier this week.

According to the site, Hamilton co-stars Deveed Diggs and Anthony Ramos have booked guest starring roles in SVU’s Feb. 3rd installment.

Diggs will reprise his role as defense attorney, Louis Henderson while Ramos will be portraying the defendant accused of rape.

On Instagram, Diggs shared a behind-the-scenes photo with his SVU co-star Raul Esperza as well as Anthony Ramos.

“Guess who's back with team SVU? And brought more #hamsfriends Thanks for another great day at the office! @rauleesparza @anthony_ramos_nyc #SonsOfLibertyOnSVU #HamiltonOnSVU,” the actor wrote.

Moving forward, SVU and Chicago PD will air a crossover episode next Wednesday. On the episode titled “Nationwide Manhunt”, PD detectives Lindsay and Dawson will join the SVU team to track down two escaped murderers.

Guest starring on the episode are Dallas Roberts and Jefferson Mays.

Law & Order SVU hails from prolific producer Dick Wolf. Its current seventeenth season airs every Wednesday at 9PM on NBC.
