Asus has launched another version of its Zenfone 2 which is dubbed as the Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition. The new variant of the Zenfone line-up features a gigantic 128 GB of internal storage.
According to International Business Times, the Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition is armed with a 5.5-inch full HD (1920x1080p) IPS screen that has 403 ppi (pixels per inch) pixel density and wide 178-degree viewing angle. Measuring 152.5 x 77.2 x 3.9 ~ 10.9 mm and weighing 170 g, it flaunts Asus' TruVivid display technology which is protected by a Gorilla Glass 3 shield.
The Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with custom Zen UI. Under its chassis, the device is engineered with 64-bit class based 2.3GHz Intel Atom processor Z3580 paired with PowerVR G6430 GPU and 4GB LPDDR3 RAM. Another interesting feature that the Deluxe Special Edition sport an internal storage capacity of 128GB that can be extended to 256GB via external microSD card.
As for the camera, this variant of Zenfone 2 is equipped with a 13.0-megapixel camera with PixelMaster technology, Backlight (HDR) mode, f/ 2.0 aperture, Real Tone flash, and Zenflash (Xenon). Its front snapper features a 5.0-megapixel camera with 88-degree field of view and also comes with ZenUI Selfie Panorama mode which can capture panoramic selfies with up to a 140-degree field of view.
This newest handset from Asus is powered by a 3,000 mAh capacity battery which comes with the fast-charge technology. The smartphone can get re-charged close to 60-percent battery capacity within 39 minutes. For its network, it has support for 4G-LTE (Cat 4: 150/50 mbps); Intel 7262 + Intel 2230 modem. The Deluxe Special Edition of Zenfone 2 has connectivity options such as Wi-Fi (802.11ac), Bluetooth v4.0, DSDA (Dual SIM Dual Active) SIM slots (type: micro), micro-USB and GPS/GLONASS.
Deccan Chronicle added that the Zenforne 2 Deluxe Special Edition will be accessible with swappable rear covers in sleek Drift Silver and modish Carbon Night color themes. According to the site, the Drift Silver cover's multi-faceted tactile finish is made up of over 500 polygons, hand-tessellated for superior the best grip. On the other hand, the Modish Carbon Night weave-patterned rear cover is made of featherweight materials engineered for the future's fastest racing cars. To support the sporty concept, the device also comes pre-loaded with the full version of Gameloft's Asphalt 8.
Additionally, Tech Radar stated on its article that the Zenfone 2 Deluxe Special Edition has only been listed on Asus' global website and as of the moment there is no available information as to when it will be released to India.
