‘Creed 2’ Update: Michael B. Jordan asks for a true villain; Ryan Coogler may not be back for the sequel

Creed 2 is the anticipated announced sequel film to the 2015's sports drama movie starring Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone. The original movie was viewed as a success in box office and especially in critics review after Stallone won the Golden Globe award. Now, news circled around that the lead actor have stated his opinion on what they should bring on the table, meanwhile, Coogler was reported to leave the franchise.

Michael B. Jordan didn't satisfy enough the critics to get a nomination but he's won the heart of the audience in his performance and now, he's more involved in the sequel. According to IGN, the young actor voiced out his concerns on having the part two with a better villain. The actor stated that "honestly in Creed 1 we didn't have a real villain" before saying that it would be totally cool to have an antagonist that would go against Adonis with real anonymity. Moreover, the actor also gave his thoughts on former reports that Stallone wants to take a Godfather 2 approach on the sequel commenting that its ambitious yet would be awesome.

The young actor also stated Ryan Coogler in his interview describing him as a man who could pull off anything but reports reveal that the director is still undecided on his full engagement on the project. In the reports of Slash Film, Coogler is an on-going decision making with regards to his commitment to Creed 2. The director expressed that it would depend on the studio's pacing since he's still involve on the latest Marvel film, Black Panther. His word detailed that "If they wanna move fast, and it's likely they will, my involvement would be more limited than it was on Creed."

More to this, Coogler still wants to be involved regardless of the decision by the studio as indicated in Digital Spy. The director's is in a tight schedule as the Creed 2 is expected for a November 2017 release while 3 months later would be his Black Panther movie in February 2018. Right now, only one thing can the director promise to audience which is being involved as much as possible.

Creed 2 is the anticipated sequel to the film starring Michael B. Jordan and Sylvester Stallone which proved a success. Now the actor has his own versions of what can they give more excitement for the viewers. Meanwhile, director Coogler is being unclear on his commitment since he's still waiting for the studio. Creed 2 is expected to be released on November 2017.
