Star Wars: Battlefront January DLC Info Leaked; DICE Confirms Tatooine's New Map Not Included In Free Content

Star Wars: Battlefront will receive a new DLC content later this January including paid and free content. EA Brasil has accidentally leaked online a new video of the free content but was quickly removed after.

According to UK Daily Express, the new Star Wars Battlefront DLC will arrive on Xbox One, PS4 and PC later this January and Online Community Manager, Sledgehammer70 revealed earlier this month that the upcoming expansion will include free and paid packs.

The Lead video game lighting artist of DICE, Oscar Carlen, confirmed the news and supplied further information via Twitter as he answered questions from a fan including the said leaked video that gives information about the new content.

Carlen also confirmed that the new map that is set on Tatooine will not be included in the free pack. "Sorry, but the January update does not contain a new map," Carlen tweeted.

"There were some misinformation so it was taken down. It is still a great patch, I don't think you will be disappointed," said Carlen apparently discussing about the leaked video. The Twitter conversation can be viewed by following this link here. [View]

The video of Star Wars: Battlefront's upcoming DLC which is reportedly leaked by EA Brasil is said to include Tatooine's new map, private matches and daily challenges, community events and new wardrobes for Luke Skywalker and Princess Leah.

After EA Brasil accidentally posted the video, it was deleted immediately but Reddit users were able to announce the information from the video. EA is silent about the leaked information about the DLC, however.

In addition to the upcoming DLC, Latin Post reported that in a previous post by the PlayStation Lifestyle, Patrick Sodurland of EA said that the upcoming DLC along with the free contents make the game more interesting.

"Of course, we are also planning to support Sat Wars Battlefront with new content well into the future," said Sodurland. "We will be adding more of what you love about the game, like new maps and Star Cards, for free in the coming months, in addition to all of the content we have coming with Season Pass. We'll have more to share soon."

Star Wars Battlefront is the third main entry in the Star Wars: Battlefront series and is now available on PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms.
