Sony has just revealed the survey results that more than 80 percent of the Xperia owners under its Android 6.0 Marshmallow beta tests is extremely satisfied with the company concept for the software. This news prompts speculations that Sony should now be at the edge of the Marshmallow release including to Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact devices after a very long time.
Sony Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact phones are reportedly in the final stage of the Android 6.0 Marshmallow development and are now just waiting to receive the official software update.
In a survey conducted late last year by Sony developers to Xperia Z3 and Xperia Z3 Compact owners under Marshmallow concept across all markets, they were asked how much longer they would want to have the concept of the new build. Results showed that more than 80 percent of the Xperia population wanted it as long as they can. Meanwhile, 10 percent said they wanted it a couple of weeks more, 8 percent a couple of months more and the least percentage wanted to leave very soon.
This strong and reassuring response from the audience sparked speculations that Sony must now be on the brink of releasing the official update. Xperia Blog reported recently that the concept of Marshmallow has been received well by testers as it is "stable, fast and power efficient."
The power concept of Sony that makes them it stood out is the ability given to the owners to uninstall bloatware or pre-installed apps. However, it remains uncertain whether the Japanese is bringing it to the final release or not.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow also comes with Doze, Now on Tap, redesigned app drawer, better app links, smarter app permissions, and improvements in connectivity, user interface and controls. Marshmallow also brings in easier and quicker direct share, simpler volume controls and a more comprehensive Android Pay.
