June Squibb has been cast for "The Big Bang Theory" Season 9. According to Entertainment Weekly, the Academy Award nominee will be playing the character of Sheldon Cooper's (Jim Parsons) meemaw. Squibb's character is set to appear on a February episode. The 86-year-old veteran actress is also a part of "The Nebraska" and has appeared on two other network series, "Code Black" and "Mom".

According to Hollywood Hills, the upcoming episode which was initially scheduled to be released last January 21, 2016 has been rescheduled to air on February 4, 2016.
As for the official synopsis for episode 14 On The Flix notes, "Meemaw is going to meet Amy Farrah Fowler (Mayim Bialik), but it won't be all roses. Meemaw will seem to have an axe to grind with her. Sheldon is going to come to Amy's defense, but not before Meemaw lets a little secret of his slip."
