"NYPD Blue" star James McDaniel will be playing the role of Abbie and Jenny's father in the upcoming mid-season finale of Sleepy Hollow Season 3. EP Clifton Campbell, on the other hand, tackles what's going to happen next to Abbie Mills. FOX also released the synopsis for the said episode entitled "One Life".
"NYPD Blue" alum James McDaniel has been cast for "Sleepy Hollow" Season 3. According to Design & Trend, McDaniel will be portraying the character of Ezra "Papa Mills", Abbie (Nicole Beharie) and Jenny Mills' (Lyndie Greenwood) long-absent father who suddenly has an interest to be involved in his daughters' lives. McDaniel's character is slated to make multiple appearance.
That said, executive producer Clifton Campbell discussed with TV Line on what's going to happen next to Abbie when "Sleepy Hollow" Season 3 returns.
Campbell stated, "We wanted the mid-season finale to resonate, not just with the audience but with our characters in somewhat of real time, so we were all on pins and needles together.
In Abbie's absence, Jenny and Joseph Corbin (Zach Appelman) become much closer, and Pandora (Shannyn Sossamon) and The Hidden One (Peter Mensah) try to get back on track after Ab's disappearing act. Things change dramatically once you take one of the key components out of the dynamic between Ichabod Crane (Tom Mison) and Abbie."
As for the official plot synopsis of season 3 mid-season finale, The Futon Critic details that Jenny and Crane will feel a great loss afte what Abbie did for everyone. The two will go separate ways where Jenny will confront her former foe while Crane teams up with an unlikely person.
"Sleepy Hollow" Season 3 mid-season finale episode is entitled as "One Life". The upcoming episode is slated to return on Friday, February 5, 2016 at 8:00 p.m. exclusively on FOX Network.
