"Iron Man" is no doubt one of the most famous superheroes. Robert Downey Jr. who plays Tony Stark/Iron Man is ready for the movie but Marvel is not. In the next four years, Marvel will release more than ten superhero films. Some reports are saying that making many superhero movies might be bad for the market.
Master Herald reported that Marvel will base the fourth installment of "Iron Man" movie to how the other superhero movies will do. Since DC is challenging them with superheroes from DC Comics, Marvel needs to step up their game. It was stated in earlier reports that the thing that is stopping Marvel from doing the "Iron Man 4" is Robert Downey Jr.'s salary. Apparently, that is not the case, as Marvel and Disney can definitely give Downey the amount he wants. They are thinking of the over saturation of superhero movies as DC will be releasing more too.
Movie News Guide said that the constant release of superhero films might make the market bland. It might make the audience tired of seeing the same character over and over again with just different stories. Marvel is afraid that their movies might not sell as how they want it to. Another thing they are worried is Downey's age. He is turning 50 and he might not be as charming as to the younger audience.
On another note, CTV News said in a report that a five-year-old kid with Hemophilia A has been included in "Invincible Iron Man" comic book. Max Levy had a cameo in the comic book where he met his favorite superhero, Iron Man. This is the result of his father posting his son's story in social media with hashtag #IronMax. They have also used the same hashtag to raise money for hemophilia research at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where Max is treated.
Whether or not "iron Man 4" is going to happen or superhero movies will lost its charm is up to the viewers. Comics have been there for a long time and the avid fans are still buying and liking what they are releasing. It might be the same for superhero movies.
