‘Black Widow’ Solo Movie Needs To Happen; Scarlett Johansson Represents Female Power

By

Since the popularity of "Avengers", "Black Widow" solo movie is in talks with the fans. Not only fans are the ones urging Marvel to give Scarlett Johansson a solo movie but also Agent Coulson. Since most "Avengers" characters have had solo movies, many thinks it's her time.

According to National Sun Times, Clark Gregg, "Avengers" and "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." actor wants "Black Widow" movie. He said that a movie starring a female superhero is in time. He said that Marvel should not waste the potential of making a movie about the strong and confident superhero. He added that Marvel should encourage more female fans and make a superhero movie tackling feminism.

Male fans would definitely love to watch more of her but not only them but also female fans. It would be great to have a role model for female popularity. In a previous report on Inquisitr, Johansson said she likes how the fans are concerned with her story in the movies. She likes that people are invested in her storylines and that they scrutinized her character. She likes it that way rather than people not caring about her.

Marvel is full with movie releases and not a movie about the "Black Widow" is in sight. Cinema Blend said Marvel doesn't really envision a solo movie for the female superhero. Black Widow has been in existence for a very long time and a plot is not hard to make if that's what Marvel is worried about. In 2019 after all the movies have been released, Marvel, might after all, make the movie. However, it is likely that after the franchise, Johansson might leave Marvel.

A controversy about her character's portrayal in the movie was abuzz last year. Critics are saying that the movie is making a sexist approach with her character. It also did not help when her co-actors said Black Widow is a 'slut' and a 'whore'.

If a movie is not possible, fans wanted a TV series in the least. Fans are really craving for some female power in the male dominant field of superhero movies.
