Edi Gathegi might reprise his role as Baron Jacobee if "Into the Badlands" will continue for season 2. Unfortunately, AMC has not confirmed yet if they will order for a 2nd installment or not but EP Al Gough already spilled some plot details during his recent interview about it..

Cast member Edi Gathegi revealed that he is going to reprise his character if the martial arts series is going to be renewed by its network. Gathegi plays the character of Baron Jacobee, Christian Today reports.

However, as of now, AMC has made no official announcement yet whether they will order a 2nd installment of "Into the Badlands" or not. However, TV Series Finale pointed out that the renewal is likely to happen since its 1st season made a good performance in its household ratings, with an average season premiere viewership of 4 million.

With that being said, showrunner Al Gough spoke to Comic Book about what's in store for fans in "Into the Badlands" Season 2. Gough stated, "In season 2, you'll meet more Barons. We'll explore the abbots. We'll explore other areas of the Badlands. Even though Sunny (Daniel Wu) and M.K. (Aramis Knight) look like they're being taken far away, Sunny's goal is going to be to get back to Veil (Madeleine Mantock) and find M.K.

Ultimately, it becomes what the series is called, Into the Badlands. You'll definitely see more of the Badlands in season 2, and really start to see the journey, the literal journey of these characters."

Until now, "Into the Badlands" Season 2 has not been officially renewed by AMC Network. "Into the Badlands" is an American TV series created by Alfred Gough and Miles Millar. The storyline evolves around a warrior and a young boy who journey through a dangerous feudal land together seeking enlightenment.
