LG is the most advanced in Android 6.0 Marshmallow updates among the device manufacturers, as it has just release the software to US Cellular units of G4. Reports pointed out that G Stylo, G Flex 2 and V10 are bound for the upgrade too in a matter of weeks.
LG has been confirmed releasing the Android 6.0 Marshmallow to a couple of its new smartphones. These include the G Stylo (G4 Stylus in the United States) under T-Mobile, G Flex 2 under AT&T, Sprint and US Cellular, and V10 under AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless.
LG G Stylo
Called G4 Stylus in the US, G Stylo has been updated with Marshmallow on Sprint since December 2015. The update came through over-the-air (OTA) update in the most unlikely season. Along with G Stylo, Sprint also delivered Marshmallow to its G4 phones.
Meanwhile, T-Mobile has not yet updated its versions while keeping a zipped out as to when it really is rolling out the update.
LG G Flex 2
LG has yet to release the Android 6.0 Marshmallow to all G Flex 2 phones under AT&T, Sprint and US Cellular, as well as the unlocked and retails versions. AT&T and Sprint last update their G Flex 2 with Android 5.1.1 Lollipop in September 2015, while US Cellular are still stuck with Android 5.1.
LG V10
The giant has yet to push the Marshmallow update V10 smartphones anytime this month or in February. The V10 units was the latest revelation from LG to receive the Marshmallow software.
Meanwhile, partner carriers AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon Wireless have not issued any statement yet on the release of the update. What is certain for now is that it will receive the update anytime soon.
Per developer preview revealed, Android 6.0 Marshmallow will bring features like battery management, better apps permission, improved app drawer, enhanced status bar, custom Chrome tabs, and app links, among many others.
