Sony Xperia Z2 can now get the Android 6.0 Marshmallow released by XDA Developer via Android Open Source Project (AOSP). The unofficial Marshmallow software will bring in several bug fixes on camera settings, brightness setting, and a lot more features of Marshmallow.
Sony Xperia Z2 is one fortunate smartphone to have been used for AOSP of Marshmallow made by the famous community of developers, XDA Developer. The XDA member, rcstar6696, updated the unofficial software last January 7.
Like any other manual installation, users are warned to use Sony Xperia Z2 devices (Sirius model) only and not try it on other device due to compatibility issues.
The developer furthered that installing the ROM means automatic void of warranty unless restoring it in its old original state. Device should also be rooted, and has enough storage space and battery life. Back up all necessary data using Clockwork Mod (CWM) Recovery or TWRP.
To install the Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade, here's a good way to go:
1. Flash this boot via Fastboot Sirius image.
2. Boot to Recovery Mode. To do this, shut down device then restart it. As the LED lights turn purple, simultaneously press volume up and bown buttons.

Rcstarr66 also reminded users not to use any third party software like xposed!!! ROM since it is unbootable aside from it being unstable. The AOSP has now status Alpha which was first created on October 29, 2015.
It brings fixes on audio, video, Bluetooth, microphone, camera, brightness and so many more.
