Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (2015) Android 6.0 Marshmallow Update Already Out with VoLTE Calling

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update has officially come out to Moto X Pure Edition (2015) units of T-Mobile following an unannounced released just last week. The carrier had long been overdue for the update to Moto X Pure Edition (2015) as other carriers like Sprint, US Cellular and Verizon have already done the release.

Motorola Moto X Pure Edition (2015) under T-Mobile can now be updated to Android 6.0 Marshmallow despite both the device manufacturer and the magenta carrier being silent about it. According to one of device owners under T-Mobile, the update can be accessed by popping out the SIM card and performing software update by heading to Settings > About device > Software updates.

T-Mobile offers the voice over LTE (voLTE) calling feature wherein users can call using the 4G LTE network, rather than the usual 2G and 3G connections. However, the Wi-Fi calling has not been brought up by the carrier for now to the device which was already made available to other devices since the first maintenance release of Android Lollipop.

The upgrade will bring in several new features and key improvements to existing apps and system, including app permissions, fingerprint support, app drawer, battery-saving Doze and Google Now, among many others.

Google Now becomes more intuitive and smarter than ever. It now has various range of contexts and answers not to mention it also suggests actions to undertake.

Meanwhile, app drawer sports an all-new design ditching horizontal scrolls while replacing with vertical ones. The background is white to create a stark contrast with the scrolls. The improved app drawer shows four most recently used apps across the top of the menu.

If device has a fingerprint scanner, this features can be used for purchasing goods and services and unlocking device. Marshmallow also supports mobile payments through Visa, Discover, MasterCard, American Express and Google Pay.
