The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's expansion Blood and Wine will be Geralt's last adventure and CD Projekt Red has prepared an unparalleled enemy and a complex story that fans will love when it launches within first half of this year.
The game's senior writer Jakub Szamalek discussed in an interview with Euro Gamer Italy where he revealed that Geralt's story in the upcoming expansion Blood and Wine will be his last adventure as the main character, reports GameSpot.
CD Projekt Red believes that The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine will be better than the main game where Szamalek stated that they created a unique and memorable enemy for Geralt in the game's next big expansion. He also said that they made a complex storyline which they believe that fans of the Wild Hunt will appreciate.
Steam's description of The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine in its website reads:
"Blood and Wine, a 20-hour tale that will introduce the all new in-game region of Toussaint, will take Geralt to a land untainted by war, where an atmosphere of carefree indulgence and knightly ritual masks an ancient, bloody secret.
Both expansions will offer gamers new content, gear and foes, and will feature characters both new and dearly missed -- all crafted with maximum attention to detail and quality."
After the latest expansion is released, it is said that it will be time for Szamalek to focus on his project Cyberpunk 2077. Hearts of Stone expansion was launched in October last year while Blood and Wine is scheduled for release in the first half of this year.
