The game trailer has also confirmed that Vito Scaletta will be one of the 3 lieutenants featured in the upcoming title to Hangar 13's franchise.

According to iDigitalTimes, the listings of Amazon and Gamestop's websites show the release date of Mafia 3 which is on April 26, 2016 and it is still there until now. The listing also confirms the release for PS4, Xbox One, and PC. The game was officially teased by publisher 2k on July 28 last year and was officially revaled at Gamescom 2015.

Mafia 3 is said to be the biggest departure in the Mafia games series, taking the story into a different direction. The game will take the player in New Orleans in the late 1960's with the main character named Lincoln Cole, a Vietnam war veteran who is working for the mob and later found his entire surrogate family murdered by the Italian mafia. Cole, who is orphaned as a child, then plans to avenge his family by starting to create his own mafia.

Mafia 3 is being developed Hangar 13 with Haden Blackman as it studio head and creative director. Blackman is also the creative director of Star Wars: The Force Unleashed.

"The Mafia franchise is known for its immersive sense of time and place, and for presenting compelling stories about life within organized crime," said Blackman in a press release.

"In Mafia 3, we are introducing players to an unexpected new anti-hero and an iconic city to explore, all within a hard-boiled drama set during one of the most turbulent years in American history," he added.

For those who are familiar with Mafia 2, it's already confirmed that Vito Scaletta will be one of Cole's three lieutenants who also appeared in the game's trailer. The other lieutenants are Cassandra and Burke.

Mafia 3 is developed by Hangar 13 for 2K Games and will be launched for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
