NBC has officially cancelled "Hannibal" Season 3 due to its low viewership ratings. however, fans can get their hopes up for a Season 4 as series creator Bryan Fuller still believes that a new network will air the show. Having said that, Hugh Dancy talked about the upcoming season's probable plot.

NBC decided to cancel the Bryan Fuller-created psychological thriller "Hannibal" after its 3rd installment due to its poor viewership ratings. This left the fans and viewers alike disappointed due to such decision. The series creator, however, still got his high hopes up that a new network will pick up his show. During a recent interview, Bryan Fuller talked about the possibility that season 4 will still air on television, as reported by International Business Times.

With that being said, cast member Hugh Dancy has discussed with Comic Book Movie about the probable plot for "Hannibal" Season 4. Dancy stated, "First of all, we didn't have the rights to Silence of the Lambs. Bryan had described to me in a kind of overview what he wanted to do with the 4th season had there been one.

I would love that but it took us back to the 1st season in a very unexpected way but made total sense of that cliffhanger ending. It was borne out of a part one of the books so it was still coming out of that universe but it wasn't the Clarice part of Silence of the Lambs."

When asked if the series will continue in a movie form, the 40-year-old English actor and model responded to Collider that he is still uncertain about it. Dancy added that the idea of creating a movie version for "Hannibal" is interesting since creator Bryan Fuller is rich in storytelling.

As of now the possibility for "Hannibal" to continue for its season 4 on a different network is still uncertain. "Hannibal" is an American psychological thriller-horror TV series. The storyline is based on Thomas Harris' novel Red Dragon.
