CBS recently released their March 2016 schedule, unfortunately, the scheduled premiere date of "Person of Interest" Season 5 is not on the list. In addition to that, the network has reduced their order for the 5th installment with only 13 episodes. Also, EP J.J. Abrams has responded on the said issues and cleared things out during his recent interview.
CBS just recently released the network's new schedule for March 2016 and this announced revealed the official premiere dates for the new show "Rush Hour" including a new air date and time slot for "Elementary" have been listed. However, IB Times has noted that the release date of "Person of Interest" Season 5 is not included on the list.
Moreover, the network ordered a reduced 13-episode run for the 5th installment of "Person of Interest". According to Deadline, the upcoming season will most likely be the show's last season to air on the said network.
The show's executive producer J.J. Abrams has discussed with The Hollywood Reporter about the current state of "Person of Interest" Season 5. Abrams stated, "We don't yet have a schedule, but I know they will see the light of day. People will get to see these episodes. I know the power of that story. Again, to have a show that goes on as many years as that has, it's very hard to complain. It's a miracle to get the show on the air, and to have it last that long is something that we should just be grateful for, but I do love that show and I would've loved to see that continue."
As of now, no official scheduled premiere date for "Person of Interest" Season 5 has been released yet. However, speculations suggest that the show will air around April 2016 on CBS. "Person of Interest" is an American science fiction drama TV series created by Jonathan Nolan.
