Rome Woman With Fraud History, Arrested and Charged for Possession, DUI

A 45-year-old resident of Rome, Floyd County in Georgia is currently facing serious drug possession charges after her vehicle was pulled over on Maple Road on Sunday, January 10, due to her failure to maintain lane while driving.

According to a report by WRGAnews.com, the Floyd County Jail named the resident as Stephanie Caroline Hartley, a resident of 20 Chateau Drive, Room 133. The Floyd County jail records reported that Hartley was pulled over near her house on Saturday. Floyd County added that Jackson had a smoking pipe made out of glass, and that it had residue of meth in it. The pipe was kept inside a prescription bottle during a vehicle search after she has been pulled over.

Hartley has been charged with felony possession of methamphetamine, possession of a drug related object, as well as failure to maintain lane and misdemeanor Driving Under the Influence. Hartley was held without bond on Saturday night.

This is not the first time that Hartley had a run in with the law in her hometown. According to a report by North West Georgia News dated back in October 2015, Hartley was arrested on a warrant that charged her with felony financial transaction card fraud. The report stated that Hartley used a credit card to purchase $68 worth of items at Food Lion on May 18. She was arrested for that charge as well.

Floyd County has been experiencing a slew of drug-related arrests while the suspects are in traffic. According to a report, Michael Cody Doi, 33, who resides in 110 Omoore Drive, and Jeremy Kyle Jordan 22, of Ireland Drive in Kingston, were charged with felony possession of methamphetamine after they were pulled over at a traffic stop located at the intersection of Firetower Road and East Hermitage Street. Doi was also charged with failure to maintain lane when the pair was pulled over on Monday night.
