Former Playmate Charged with DUI

DUI charges seem to be trending for the past few days. A new driver has been charged with Driving Under the Influence (DUI) which resulted to a car crash a few months ago. The driver of the vehicle was former Playboy Playmate, Kristina Shannon, who had been driving her Mercedes Benz G-Wagon. The crash occurred in Beverly Hills last October 12, 2015.

The 26-year-old was driving the SUV with her twin sister, Karissa, was on the passenger seat. Because of the impact of the crash, the women had to be rescued by firefighters who responded to the incident. As reports describe the accident, the SUV had rolled around before coming to a stop. The roof of the vehicle needed to be removed so the firefighters could extricate Kristina from the vehicle. Karissa, meanwhile, had to be removed through the broken windshield. They were then rushed to the emergency room. It was there that Kristina received her misdemeanor DUI citation. The girls were reportedly on their way to have their nipples pierced before the accident occurred.

On Saturday, Shannon was charged with DUI since she was driving the vehicle. But considering this was her first DUI offense, it is likely that she will only be given a probation. Despite this, the girls have made a name for themselves for partying too hard. Back in February last year, Kristina was spotted falling down outside her vehicle before she left West Hollywood's Chateau Marmont. She was not involved in any crash back then, which explains why the accident last October was her first offense.

Kristina is expected to face court officials on Tuesday, Jan. 12 where she will be given the decision for her misdemeanor DUI. Hopefully, this will be the first and last DUI offense Kristina gets herself involved with so she can steer clear of accidents.
