Woman with 4 Children Arrested for DUI

A woman was arrested Saturday night for driving under the influence with four children in her car.

Fox 35 reported that Melbourne authorities apprehended Jacquelyn Tadrous, 33, for reckless driving on U.S. 1 without headlights.

Police received a call reporting a driver weaving in and out of traffic at a high rate speed around 11:30 p.m. SAturday. Police said they pulled the driver and learned that Tadrous was behind the wheel. Along with her were four children age two, three, 14 and 16 years old, the source added.

Tadrous' license had been suspended due to previous DUI conviction in 2015, Fox 35 wrote. She was booked into the Brevard County Jail and detained without bond.

WFTV confirmed that Tadrous was apprehended for DUI and faced additional charges that include child neglect.

She was spotted by a passerby zigzagging through traffic with no headlights at a high speed. The witness reported the incident to the authorities and the driver was caught with open containers of alcohol inside her car. The officer said she appeared drunk. Also in the car were four children, the site noted.

WFTV held that Tadrous was driving under suspended license and on probation for the same case in 2015.

Melbourne Police did not hesitate to arrest Tadrous who was from Rockledge for driving under the influence with children in her car, Click Orlando said. The children age two, three, fourteen and sixteen.

She was stopped in the area of Lake Washington Road and U.S 1 after a witness called police and reported a reckless driver without headlights. Found inside her car were open containers of alcohol and the woman was obviously drunk, the site said.

Tadrous is on probation for a prior DUI arrest and conviction from July of 2015. She was charged with DUI, child neglect and violation of probation. She is detained at Brevard County Jail and her appearance on court will be on Monday.
