The Android 6.0 Marshmallow update to Sony Xperia Z2 Tablet is reported to start within January and March bracket date. According to new reports, the finest software in Android history is already set for release very soon, as Sony has already signed its partnership with Google to push through with the update.
Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet is one lucky device to receive the official Android 6.0 Marshmallow upgrade not later than March. Per announcement from the Japanese tech company last year that the tablet was in development, Xperia Z2 Tablet must now be soak testing the new build. If this is completed, the software will eventually be rolled out along with a string of smartphones and other tablets.
The unlocked versions of the handset device last received an Android update in October 2015 with the Android 5.1 Lollipop version. Moreover, some developers have made available a custom ROM to the tablet based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, the final Lollipop version.
Despite the strong public demand last year to release the update the soonest after its announcement, Sony had to delay the upgrade to the device for some qualification considerations.
Sony Xperia Z4 Tablet sports an 8 inches display, a 20 MP main camera, a 5 MP front camera, a 3 GB of RAM, 16 GB internal storage and a non-removable 3,000 mAh battery.
Android 6.0 Marshmallow will boost up what is already a killer device. It will bring some notable features introduced like an improved text selection setup, a sweet treat for the photo bums with easier screenshot management and so many more.
Known to be too hard to handle, the text selection is dressed anew. With Marshmallow, it becomes better functionality as there is a confined floating menu with simple choices "select all," "copy", or "share". The overflow menu includes web search by default. It can be custom-made with Google Translate, etc.
