Is Miss Colombia Snubbing Steve Harvey?

By

It seems like the whole fiasco that happened at the end of Miss Universe 2015 is not yet over. Well, at least for Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez. Even though Steve Harvey has already said his apologies for the mix-up that happened during the event, Gutierrez still has not moved on from the incident.

Speaking to a radio interview on his "The Steve Harvey Morning Show," the acclaimed TV show host detailed the things that happened during the controversial show. Apart from sharing his account of what had happened, the 58-year-old host shared that he has tried to reach out to the first runner-up of the pageant but has not received any response. Is Miss Colombia giving him the cold shoulder? The host also cleared earlier reports made by judges of him being unprepared and binge drinking and gambling a night before the coronation. Despite the reports, Harvey insisted that he attended the full walk-through and the whole show dress rehearsal.

Harvey's blunder of misreading the results of the pageant has been one of the biggest highlights of 2015. A few minutes after Gutierrez was wrongfully crowned as the winner of the Miss Universe 2015 pageant, Harvey stepped onstage to correct his mistake. However, Gutierrez believes that this was the wrong thing to do. Gutierrez shared that she wishes the situation was handled or corrected in another way. She also wishes that she could share the crown with the winner, Pia Wurtzbach. Responding to this, Wurtzbach shares that she believes it would be "a little bit difficult" for two girls to share one crown.

Meanwhile, the 22-year-old beauty took to Twitter to ask her followers whether she should do a sit-down with Harvey. Gutierrez posted a Spanish and English version of the poll, to which garnered a resounding "yes" vote from her 114,000 followers. With the result from this poll, perhaps Gutierrez should listen to her followers and finally put a closure on the humiliating event that occurred on Dec. 20, 2015.
