Mortal Kombat X Joins CEO 2016 Line-up on June 24-26; Killer Instinct, Street Fighter 5, Smash 4 Included

CEO Gaming has announced the line-up of games for its event in June and these are Ultra Street Fighter IV, Street Fighter 5, Smash 4, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Mortal Kombat X, Killer Instinct, Guilty Gear Xrd, and Ultimate Marvel vs Capcom 3.

In a recent tweet by tournament's organizer Alex Jebailey, the current eight titles in the line-up on his list for the CEO 2016 includes Mortal Kombat X, and there's room for one or two more.

Red Bull, in its article, suggests that other titles that might possibly fill the space include King of Fighters 14, Tekken 7, and Pokken. "I'd love to see Tekken 7 if it's out in time like at least 2 months before, same with KOF," Jebailey stated. He also said that it's about capacity when it comes to the limit to the number of main games.

"There will still be side events by the community but I wanted to limit the main games that get championship belts for the sake of staff, volunteers, resources, etc. and to bump up production values with entrance spectacle in the ring so they all get their shine on the main stage," adds Jebailey.

In as much as Jebailey wants to support every title in the gaming community, he thinks that is not possible and it removes the importance of the games that are featured. The Street Fighter 4's inclusion, however, has a practical reason as the game still has lot of follwers in Florida and it helped CEO grow to what it is today.

"I'd love to see one more go at [Street Fighter IV], hence it being on Friday so people can choose to come Thursday or early Friday to compete in that and SFV on Saturday without both happening at once," added Jebailey.

CEO, or Community Effort Orlando, is a fighting game event that began in 2010 and this year, it will happen on June 24-26 at Orlando, Florida.

Mortal Kombat X is the tenth installment in the Mortal Kombat video game for PS4, Xbox One and PC platforms. Also, MKX fans are set to receive Kombat Pack 2 expected to launch within the first half of 2016.
