The December holidays offered up freebies, gifts, and daily quests, for the World of Warcraft players and this time, the first month of 2016 will give players with bonus events such as the Darkmoon Faire and Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza.
Darkmoon Faire
According to Blizzard, the Darkmoon Faire returns to Azeroth which already started on January 3. Here is what Battle.net says from their website:
"The wondrous and mystical Darkmoon Faire returns to Azeroth... and if you haven't completed all of Silas Darkmoon's new Darkmoon Races, now's the time! Test your speed and agility on a variety of racing mounts as you dodge electrifying obstacles and zip all over Darkmoon Island for rewards and achievements. You may also want to take a few moments to be a kid again by going for a ride on the new Darkmoon Seesaw."
Players will encounter seasonal bosses in the quests such as the dreadful Moonfang and the ill-tempered rodent Darkmoon Rabbit. Check out the link for the Darkmoon Faire event for more info. Darkmoon Faire will happen every first week of each month of 2016.
Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza
The Stranglethorn Fishing Extravaganza gives a lot of rewards for players who are worthy of the prize and a chance to "catch rare fish during the event which Fishbot 5000 in Booty Bay will take in exchange for even more unique loot."
Players can win a formidable Dad Pirate Ring that will make players stand out among the crowd in Booty Bay's inn, Hook of the Master Angler which is used to turn the reef into a fishing area, Boots of the Bay that is made from pure arcanite which will be used as an ultimate fishing pole, and a High Test Eternium Fishing Line which is made from eternium thread for the the biggest fish catch.
