'Ride Along 2' is an upcoming action-comedy film intended as a follow-up to the 2014 film of the same name. Universal Pictures and the A.V. Club are offering complimentary passes for the January 12 advanced screening in the United States. Main actors Kevin Hart and Ice Cube also appeared on a funny Conan O'Brien skit for promotion of their film.
Waiting audiences are treated to free passes for the advanced screening of Ice Cube and Kevin Hart's upcoming comedy sequel. The A.V. Club and Universal Pictures have put up a contest wherein lucky winners will get the chance to receive free passes for January 12, 2016. The new film is scheduled to be released to the general public by January 15, 2016.
According to Flick Direct, the sequel to 2014's hit buddy cop comedy will follow the new adventures of Ice Cube's Detective James Payton and Hart's Ben Barber as they take on new cases in Miami. In the new film, Ben graduates from the police academy and is assigned to accompany James in taking down a powerful drug lord to be played by Benjamin Bratt.
Ice Cube and Hart also appeared on Conan O'Brien's comedy skit on January 5 where they had to help one of O'Brien's staff members to learn to drive. According to NY Daily News, some features of the skit included some bickering in the car, driving towards a medical marijuana dispensary and being pulled over by a cop.
'Ride Along 2' is an upcoming action-comedy film directed by Tim Story based on a screenplay by Phil Hay and Matt Manfredi. Story is best known for his work on 'Barbershop', 'Taxi' and 'The Fantastic Four'.
It is scheduled to be released on January 15, 2016 in the United States. Joining Hart, Ice Cube and Bratt are Olivia Munn, Tika Sumpter and Ken Jeong. Its predecessor received generally negative reviews but became a surprise blockbuster hit earning $154 million against a $25 million budget.
