Caitlyn Jenner settles crash lawsuit against her

Transgender icon Caitlyn Jenner settled the lawsuit filed against her in a fatal multi-car collision in Malibu.

Hollywood agent Jessica Steindorff, who was injured in the crash, settled her case for personal injury and property damage, according to records filed by Jenner's lawyer at a Los Angeles court this month. USA Today reported that Steinrdorff sought for an unspecified amount of damages against Jenner. Jenner's insurance company paid for the amount that Steindorff asked for.

The seven-car collision happened on the Pacific Coast Highway in Malibu, killing 69-year-old Kim Howe. According to Daily Mail UK, Steindorff claimed that she incurred serious medical injuries while on her Prius during the crash. She also claimed to have lost wages. She stopped behind a series of cars that have stopped at a red light when the former reality TV star rear-ended her.

TMZ wrote that Jenner is facing two other lawsuits from the crash. The Wolf-Milesi family who were in the Hummer acquired wrist injuries and will also sue Caitlyn. Meanwhile, the two stepchildren of the deceased Kim Howe will also sue the 65-year-old celebrity.

According to investigations from the Sheriff's department, Jenner was travelling at a speed considered as unsafe for traffic conditions. Prosecutors didn't file a vehicular manslaughter lawsuit against Jenner. Authorities reported that the transgender icon was on a Cadillac Escalade towing a trailer when she crashed into two other cars that pushed them into traffic.

"We believed from the start that a thorough and objective investigation would clear Caitlyn of any criminal wrongdoing,' said Jenner's attorney, Blair Berk. "We are heartened the district attorney has agreed that even a misdemeanor charge would be inappropriate. A traffic accident, however devastating and heartbreaking when a life is lost, is not necessarily a criminal matter."

The accident happened when Caitlyn was still Bruce and was yet to shift into her transgender self. She already gave a statement of sympathy to everyone involved in the accident.
