Overwatch a Possible Game of the Year Candidate? Blizzard Learned from Past Mistakes

By

Overwatch is yet to be released sometime within the year, and as the possibility of the game is yet to be known, many intriguing factors have gone around as well. Will the game fare as wonderfully as what fans of Blizzard Entertainment expect it to be?

Recent reports stated that Overwatch, as some may already know, is one of Blizzard Entertainment's most anticipated titles of the year-being a first-person shooter that drifts away from the conventional massive multiplayer online role-playing game titles that the developer was known for. As it was recently publicized, a new trailer which was aired in select theatres during the showing of Star Wars: The Force Awakens highlighted some of the characters within the much-awaited masterpiece; and even before such, there are already those that have full faith in Overwatch.

According to Top Tech News, Blizzard may have put so much money and effort in the creation of this particular title, and was known to have done similarly in the past. A few years back, a cancelled project called Titan was noted to have engulfed so much out of Blizzard Entertainment but was disregarded eventually, and after this particular scenario, there are those that have become skeptical as to whether Overwatch will be closer to failure than success.

Delivered by Forbes, there are some fans that have expressed their enthusiasm towards Overwatch and believe that as early as now, Overwatch will prove to be one of the most successful games to befall 2016. The roster is comprised of adorable characters with expressive designs and various identities that make each and every single one of them vital to the gameplay. As simple as these factors may be, Blizzard claims that they have learned from the mistakes rendered back in their development of Titan and Overwatch looks to offer something different to the table.

Overwatch is set to release around spring of 2016. The worry of others is that may not be up to the challenge against titles such as Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 and Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege, but there are loyal patrons that see the potential of Blizzard Entertainment in making another chart-topper in the form of Overwatch.
