'Captain America: Civil War' is an upcoming superhero film starring Chris Evans and Robert Downey Jr. Recent rumors state that Paul Bettany's Vision may switch sides from Iron Man's team to Captain America's. It was also speculated that Evans' titular character may meet his demise at the end of the film.
According to Blastr, Vision may be loyal to Iron Man's camp at first but it is possible that he may switch sides and fight for Captain America's team sooner or later. The latest synopsis wrote that the two major leaders in the Avengers will split up because of opposing causes - Iron Man's team supports the government's move for oversight and accountability over superheroes while Cap's team antagonizes the new plan hoping to defend humanity without intrusion from the government.
Co-directors Joe and Anthony Russo hinted that Vision has an important role in the 'Captain America: Civil War' although details remain unspecified. Joe Russo said, "Vision is a captivating character, and he does play a critical role in the Civil War. The comic fans might be able to guess what he is going to do." Speculations point to Vision disabling Iron Man's armor thereby enabling Captain America to defeat him eventually.
Meanwhile, it was rumored that Chris Evans' Captain America may finally meet his demise at the end of the upcoming film. According to Comic Book Resources, an unconfirmed source revealed that the film's opening scene would involve Peggy Carter's funeral while the ending scene would feature a funeral for Steve Rogers. It was also pointed out that in the original comic books, Bucky Barnes a.k.a. Winter Soldier and Falcon each took the identity of Captain America as their own eventually.
Another article by Techno Buffalo wrote that Youtube's 'That Hashtag Show' revealed this major spoiler, shaking up some fans in the process. 'That Hashtag Show' speculated, "During the film, Steve will make a deal with the government, stating that they are not to hunt down the people that allied with him in the Civil War... After Steve surrenders and is taken into custody, he is killed."
Despite the statement being wholly unofficial, fans who have read the 'Civil War' comic books to themselves may have already been aware of Steve Rogers' death. It is unknown whether this storyline will be adapted in the upcoming film.
