Nintendo's upcoming gaming console is expected to battle out against the powerful devices from other manufacturer in the same market. The Nintendo NX is anticipated to be as powerful as Xbox One making it a very interesting console to the public's eyes.
Christian Today noted that late this year, Nintendo President Satoru Iwata stated that the company is coming up with a new gaming console, but he has promised to remain tight-lipped until 2016 comes around. The next gaming console by Nintendo is predicted to be a hybrid of a mobile and TV-mounted console, giving it a direction that turns away from the Wii experience.
Trusted Reviews reported that the Nintendo NX will be around the same price as the Xbox One, but it's not indicated yet whether it's the Xbox One's current or launch price. Reports claim that one of the first announcements to be made will be its pre-ordering schedule, which should take place on February 2016.
In addition to that, there are also rumors stating that the Nintendo NX will be showcased in a closed-door presentation in the upcoming CES 2016. The presentation invites have been allegedly sent out to third-party gaming companies to show the power and capacity of the NX. With this, it is most likely that the pre-ordering schedule will be confirmed during the event as well.
Nevertheless, opposing to what Nintendo fans want to hear, there are some considering that the next Nintendo console will not be coming out in 2016. The famous gaming industry analyst Michael Pachter shares in one of his latest prediction episodes that it is unlikely that the NX will launch in 2016.
"If any western developer has a dev kit, who knows me, I think they would have told me by now", Pachter claimed in an episode for Pachter Factor.
Nintendo has not revealed any details yet on when the Nintendo NX will be released. But the company's new president, Tatsumi Kimishima, confirmed exclusively in his interview that the device is in progress and more details should be released next year.
The Nintendo NX' goal is to redeem Nintendo after it has lost the support of companies such as EA, Bethesda Softworks and Activision. All of these might sound exciting, but until the official announcement from Nintendo is released, the NX still remains under rumor category.
