Justin Blackmon DUI arrest video revealed; NFL career could be in jeopardy

By

A video of Justin Blackmon was recently revealed featuring yet another brush with the law of the Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver. The newest DUI incident is Blackmon's fourth arrest and could permanently damage his career in NFL.

As reported by Sun Times Network, a video of Justin Blackmon's DUI arrest last December 19 was acquired by TMZ. The video captured Blackmon's statement that he only had 2 drinks before being pulled over.

He was later administered to a field sobriety test and was made to walk on a straight line which failed to convince the police especially with his difficulty in maintaining his balance. Moreover according to Uproxx, Blackmon also failed the preliminary breath test and also refused the breathalyzer.

He eventually told officers that he was previously arrested for DUI in 2008 and reports claim that he also got heated and refused to give his mobile phone when booked at the Carter County Jail. Blackmon was considered to be a rising name in the NFL having been fifth overall pick in 2012.

Blackmon was able to play 20 games in the NFL with 93 catches for 1280 yards. However, as reported by Yahoo, he is in indefinite suspension for three violations of NFL's substance abuse policy. The recent incident is Blackmon's fourth arrest after being arrested in 2010 and 2012 both with DUI charges.

He was later arrested once again in 2014 for possession of marijuana. While many saw potential in Blackmon, the recent DUI arrest could make a huge impact in Blackman's career if he still has plans in getting back in the field.

Previous rumors suggest that Blackmon applied for a reinstatement in the past but was eventually denied. However, there were also reports stating otherwise, denying Blackmon's alleged application. Whichever way, Justin Blackmon might have to rethink his choices if he wishes to go back to the NFL.
