El Chapo's associate, Edgar Manuel Valencia Ortega also known as "the Fox", admitted to the crime of money laundering in connection to the drug sale in Chicago and Los Angeles. Ortega avoids trial but still faces prison time and deportation.
Brandon Link, who sued Peter Thomas ealier this year for an assault, returns to seek for damages over the bar fight. Link is suing the couple, Cynthia Bailey and Thomas, for the said incident.

Syed Raheel Farook, the brother of San Bernardino suspect, Syed Rizwan Farook; his wife, Tatiana Farook; and her sister, Mariya Chernykh, were all arrested and charged with marriage fraud charges. All three pleaded not guilty over the said charges.
