Dr. Love to Counter Sue After LA Lewis' Statements; Legal Battle Continues

By

Dr. Love now takes his counter suit forward towards the notable charismatic LA Lewis, which can be recalled of recently filing a lawsuit against fellow recording artist Ninja Man and the Dr. Love himself. The reason behind the aforementioned claim was one that struck both parties heavily, and as LA Lewis revealed, the opposition will not get away from it lightly if at all.

As per Jamaica Star, the popular dancehall icon filed a lawsuit over a photo that was uploaded on the web over a month back. Simply enough, the photo suggested that LA Lewis has an existing relationship with Ninja Man's gay son with an alias known as Spuggy. This was not taken well by the artist and in an interview, Lewis reacted during an interview.

Ace 876 Daily reported the quoted statement of Lewis, saying, "Ninja man and Dr Love have slandered my name and they will not be getting away with it. I am going through with the lawsuit because the bwoy dem bright. Dem mek mi a lose money because promoters are saying I need to clear up the rumours before dem can work wid mi. LA Lewis is a corporate entity, and I am not playing with them. Mi nuh mix up in a nastiness. Born straight and stay straight."

According to Kaba35, Lewis' legal side gave the two artists seven days to retract the slanderous claims and to also issue a public apology, otherwise legal action will be given. After the seven days have expired, LA Lewis looks to initiate, but the other side will not take it sitting down as Dr. Love announced that he hired a lawyer to counter sue.

Under the charges of malicious prosecution, invasion of privacy and abuse of the judicial process, Dr. Love claims that LA Lewis has gone too far and with the help of the Jamaican courts, they are to go against the said party. The said matter is still be further heard of in the near future.

The issue has transpired for over a month, and both artists have not come to an arranged closure.
