Volkswagen reportedly reached an agreement to settle the dieselgate scandal before the court-appointed deadline. A source close to the agreement said that VW has reached a settlement to avoid U.S. federal trial over the summer.
Volkswagen will be facing the US court this week to discuss their solutions on the over 500,000 diesel cars affected with the faulty emission devices. Apart from the trial they're facing, the company is also facing dozens of lawsuits from owners of the defetive cars and from EPA.
Volkswagen is recalling 800,000 SUVs that are believed to be designd with faulty pedals. Volkswagen is also recalling Porsche units over the same problem.
