In the wake of the child porn case investigated by the FBI, in which the judge rule out evidence due to violation of jurisdictions, the Justice Department is proposing a change in ruling. The Justice Department is pursuing a change that would allow judges issue a warrant for computer searches in unknown locations, even though it’s outside the judge’s jurisdiction.
Porn is now a "public health crisis" in Utah. Gov. Gary Herbert signed a resolution on Tuesday that calls for increased "education, prevention, research, and policy change at the community and societal level" to combat pornography.
Christopher Haas, a long time History professor in Villanova University, was arrested and charged with over 400 counts of child pornography-related charges. He has been under federal probe since 2012.
Stephen Pohl, a former priest at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church pleaded guilty for taking inappropriate photos of his students. A judge sentenced him with 2 years and nine months of imprisonment.
