An industry expert told Bloomberg that the latest penalty imposed on the New York Stock Exchange by the US Securities and Exchange Commission simply means that the regulator is emphasizing that it will ensure that trading exchanges have stricter rules in place to curb potential trading crimes or violations.

According to the plaintiffs of a social inequality lawsuit filed against the city of San Francisco over the private shuttle buses of Silicon Valley companies, it was not fair that the city only collects half of the amount it charges per bus stop on public transport and that it chose to exempt private shuttles from an environmental impact study as mandated by state law.
