Singer Mariah Carey and "America's Got Talent" host Nick Cannon is reportedly on the verge of breaking up.
Rumors of the couple's possible divorce have been spreading for months now. The two, however, have not made any move to quiet down the issue.
In an interview with In Touch Weekly, Cannon replied "no comment" when asked about the state of his marriage to the diva. He was also noted saying that he puts his 3-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe "before everything," without the mention of his wife.
Instead of silencing the rumors of a split, Cannon's response to the matter had only added to the flames of the speculations.
The issue has also been straining Mariah. A source told the site that the singer downed two bottles of champagne during the after party of "Hercules." The source added that she was allegedly so drunk that "her bodyguards had to help her walk out."
According to Fashion & Style, sources spilled that the couple has become more and more estranged from each other even after being married for six years. Instead of fixing their marital problems, the two are reportedly focusing more on their careers.
"They're both pouring their energy into their careers, and neither seems interested in fighting to save the marriage," a source revealed according to the site.
The insider also added that the couple could still be caught in a financial nightmare if they go through a divorce for the combined $495 million assets even despite a pre-nuptial agreement.
Last April 30 was supposed to be the couple's sixth wedding anniversary, but there were no celebrations for the occasion. They only posted a shoutout on their Instagram accounts.
Mariah posted a family photo of her and Nick with the twins with a caption "Happy Birthday to Dembabies 3 Years Old! Happy Anniversary to us! 4/30."
Cannon, on the other hand, shared a photo of his wife's latest magazine cover alongside a caption that read: "Wow I am the luckiest and most blessed man on the planet! Today is my 6th anniversary of being married to my dream girl! And Everyday just keeps getting better! Happy Anniversary to my amazing wife@mariahcarey I Love You!!! #KKLB #WonderLand"
Celebrity Dirty Laundry reported that the two were last seen together in February. The couple had also reportedly sold their multi-million dollar Bel-Air home, with Cannon living in a crash pad in the west while Mariah is in New York City with the twins.
The couple has not made any official statements relative to the matter.
