A new Instagram post by Jessa Duggar's sister sparked new rumors of the reality star's engagement to Ben Seewald.
Jill Dillard posted a photo of her and Jessa while they were eating lunch, captioned with a statement that has caught the attention of the public.
The caption read, "Lunch with my sweet sis @jessaseewald today! #jessaseewald #jillmdillard #sisterlunch"
It can be noticed that Jill's post on the photo-sharing site mentioned about Jessa using her boyfriend's family name, Seewald.
Both the Duggars and Ben are members of the Quiverfull movement. They met at church and started dating shortly after.
According to Hollywood Gossip, the photo could mean that the two are engaged or even secretly married considering that not a lot of women would use their boyfriend's surname unless they are already married.
However, the site added that it can still be assumed that Jill is only playing around since no ring can be seen on the photo.
On other news, Jessa's boyfriend of one year is presently caught up in heavy criticisms following his recent post on his Facebook page.
Ben Seewald slammed Catholicism on his page. According to the post, Catholicism departs from the teachings of the Bible.
According to Christian Today, Seewald wrote on the page:
"I have nothing against individuals who are Catholic ... I know a lot of Catholics who are great people,"
What I DO have a problem with is the teaching that man can merit God's favor through his own works or the works of other fallen men. ... I DO have a problem with the teaching that man can come to God through Mary or any other person besides Jesus...
I DO have a problem with the deification of Mary as a sinless being. Mary herself admitted her need for a Savior. If she had no sin, she would need no Savior...
My conscience is captive to the word of God. Where my Catholic friends adhere to God's Word, I adhere. Where they depart from Scripture, I will in no way support, but will call them out because I love them and desire that they be turned from their deadly errors."
The post has since been deleted after it caused a social media storm, reported Mail Online.
Readers responded with negative comments, saying that the post is demeaning and self-aggrandizing. One even commented that Ben is the worst and the kind of "Christian love" he posted is one of the most sickening sentiments on the planet.
Both Seewald and Duggar have not released any official statements on the issues yet.
