Kareena Kapoor turned down six films? Bollywood actress sets other priorities after marriage

By

Kareena Kapoor has recently been the center of criticism after rejecting six films in a span of five months. These films include "Queen", "Goliyon Ki", "Raasleela", "Ram Leela", "Shhuddhi" and Zoya Akhtar's "Dil Dhadakne Do." While other people questioned her decision, the actress does not mind rejecting films.

According to the Times of India, Kareena revealed to the paper in an earlier interview her reason of rejecting the film offers. She said that she rejected the films because she did not find her parts as exciting as she wanted it to be. According to her, there is no point in doing a film if she does not like it.

"I do things which I like and when I don't like things I don't do. When I hear a story from someone, the first thing I think is whether I would like to go on the sets of that particular film. I say yes, when I think I want to be with that team. I think whether I will be able to spend 100 or 200 days with those people. Ultimately after 20 days, if you don't enjoy then it's no use doing the film. I have experienced that a lot in the industry," stressed Kareena to TOI.

There are some reports who speculated that the Bollywood actress' recent action was in line with her new set of priorities after she married Saif Ali Khan. Khan is a Bollywood actor and producer. He and Kareena met while filming "Tashan" and started dating in 2007. They eventually got married in October 2012.

"My priorities are different because I am married now. I would like to work in a way that I can give certain time to a film. But then, I have to keep some time for my personal life as well. And I always wanted things to be like this," Kapoor explained.

However, just because she turned down a few films, it does not mean that fans will no longer see her on screen. She is reportedly starring opposite Salman Khan in Kabir Khan's next film "Bajrangi Bhaijaan." The movie is set for release in 2015.
