Ohio sex offender, Terrance Cummings, rushed to destroy his stockpile of child pornography in a toilet after learning officers were coming to arrest him.
Cummings, 29, is accused of sexually exploiting high school girls and coercing them into engaging in commercial sex acts, reported 10TV.
Federal agents executed a search warrant at his apartment in August and discovered various narcotics and two iPhones submerged in the water tank on the back of his bathroom toilet that he allegedly attempted to destroy after learning about the warrant.
The accused allegedly has a criminal history of unlawful sexual conduct with minors that dates back to 2016, and authorities from the United States Attorney's Office in the Southern District of Ohio confirmed that Cummings is a registered sex offender.
In July, Central Ohio Human Trafficking Task Force received information about a 16-year-old victim reportedly receiving gifts and illicit substances from Cummings in exchange for sexual acts, according to an affidavit.
Court documents reveal that Cummings had sex with multiple minor victims in exchange for drugs and nude images in return.
Cummings is also facing allegations that he sold or provided fentanyl, marijuana, Xanax, cocaine, acid, and ecstasy.
The investigation revealed Cummings' electronics and other accounts contained more than 18,000 sexual images and videos, including child sex abuse material.
Following the raid on his home, Cummings was charged with sexually exploiting a minor, distributing, receiving, or possessing child pornography, coercion and enticement of a minor, and obstruction of justice.
The federal child exploitation charge carries a mandatory minimum of 25 years and up to 50 years in prison, while the coercion and enticement charge is punishable by at least 10 years and up to life in prison.
