The TikTok star accused of killing a Louisiana therapist allegedly bludgeoned him to death inside his apartment before dumping his body on the side of a highway, say police.
Terryon Thomas, 20, also known as "Mr. Prada," faces charges of second-degree murder and obstruction of justice in connection with the death of 69-year-old therapist and former Catholic priest William Nicholas Abraham of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, according to the Tangipahoa Sheriff's Office.
Abraham died as a result of blunt force trauma to the head, neck, and shoulders, Tangipahoa Parish officials said, according to WVUE-TV. Sheriff Gerald Sticker described the victim's death as "very physical, very violent."
According to the arrest warrant reviewed by the Lawyer Herald, detectives began their investigation Sept. 29, when they allegedly discovered Abraham's bloodied body wrapped in a gray comforter concealed in a blue tarp, tossed on the side of a highway in Fluker, Louisiana.
Detectives learned the victim's SUV was also missing and tracked it down to Baton Rouge, where Thomas was allegedly behind the wheel, as he led police on a pursuit that ended when he crashed the vehicle in Dallas.
After obtaining a search warrant for Thomas' apartment, detectives alleged there was evidence to indicate a violent altercation ensued. Blood, "multiple sharp objects and other weapons" were allegedly recovered, according to police documents.
A review of apartment surveillance footage allegedly showed Abraham arriving at Thomas' residence the day before his body was found. He was wearing the same clothes he was purportedly killed in.
A witness alleged to investigators they later on saw Thomas struggling to drag an object wrapped in a blue tarp into the victim's vehicle.
"I appreciate the work done by the Tangipahoa Parish Sheriff's Office, Baton Rouge Police Department, U.S. Marshal's Service and all others involved," East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff Sid Gautreaux said in a statement at the time. "This is an ongoing investigation that will take time to gather further evidence. I hope that this arrest may bring some closure and assurance to friends and family."
The relationship between Abraham and Thomas remains unclear and a motive is under investigation.
