Police in Port Orange, Florida, released a video of deputies walking a handcuffed 11-year-old boy to jail for allegedly threatening to commit a school shooting.
Authorities say they received a tip of an alleged "kill list" that revealed an arsenal of weapons in his possession.
Authorities were called to Creekside Middle School, where they arrested Carlo "Kingston" Dorelli and "perp walked" him into a police car.
The threats allegedly listed names and targets of individuals at two schools—Creekside and Silversands Middle School.
The sheriff posted photos to social media showing an arsenal of weapons, including airsoft rifles, ammunition and swords.
Once transported to the jail, the 11-year-old told deputies that the entire thing was "all a joke."
Volusia County Sheriff Mike Chitwood had previously warned parents and students that they take every threat seriously.
"Since you don't want to raise your kids, I'm going to start raising them," Chitwood said.
If a child makes threats to commit violent acts against students and schools, their photograph will be posted on social media, Chitwood added.
The 11-year-old boy will be taken to a juvenile center following his release and has been charged with a felony for creating a written threat of a mass shooting.
The school will ultimately decide where he's placed upon his release, which could mean enrolling in an online learning program or alternative school.
