A manhunt is underway for a Texas man accused of crashing his 6-year-old daughter's birthday party where he allegedly shot and killed her mom in front of her and her sibling, according to police.

Authorities are searching for Jalin J. Foreman, 27, for the fatal shooting of his ex, Jalen Whitlock, 25, at her Houston townhome Thursday evening, said police.

Whitlock died on the scene from multiple gunshot wounds.

According to court records, Foreman allegedly showed up to his daughter's birthday party to drop off presents, KHOU-TV reported. He wasn't allowed inside the home and left gifts at the front door when his kids came down to retrieve them.

An argument between Foreman and Whitlock's current boyfriend followed.

Foreman allegedly retreated to his SUV to grab a gun, and the boyfriend went to the kitchen to do the same, according to the outlet.

Upon his return, Foreman allegedly fired off several shots, striking Whitlock, who was standing in the doorway. He then fled.

Foreman remains on the lam.
