At a press conference on Monday, attorney Jeff Herman said that he has in his possession evidence to prove that Gary Goddard had groomed a British teenage boy with gifts ahead of the sexual abuse he received from the Broadway producer and "X-Men" filmmaker Bryan Singer. Buzzfeed reported that Herman presented photos that matched the viral news site's photos earlier obtained showing the plaintiff's presence at the London premiere of Singer's "Superman Returns".
The British teen was only identified in Singer's new lawsuit as John Doe No. 117, Buzzfeed said. The lawsuit was filed in a US District Court in California on Saturday.
Goddard's and Singer's representatives had since denied the allegations against them, and dubbed the charges as complete fabrication. Moreover, the two also denied that they have sexually abused Michael Egan, who had filed charges against them and two other executives in the entertainment business last month.
Buzzfeed have published images of the alleged evidence that John Doe No. 117 had on Goddard in particular, and of Singer. In one of the photos published on Buzzfeed, a letter sent by Goddard to John Doe No. 117 read about the former's surprise chocolate box from Hershey's Chocolate World and Hershey's Times Square to the latter. Another photo is a screenshot of an email allegedly from Goddard pertaining to the plaintiff's "naughty" photograph. Although there is no image that could be made out on the email, the text in the email was incriminating itself if it really did came from Goddard.
"Haha - its not all that naughty because you wouldn't let me take any of you showing even a bit of your bum," the email read with the subject titled "the closest thing I have a 'naughty' shot of you."
The British teen had claimed in his lawsuit that Goddard tried to take naked photos of him, but the former declined.
Herman's photos taken at the UK premiere of "Superman Returns" were the same ones obtained by Buzzfeed. All of them showed the plaintiff a few steps away from Singer, as the latter signed autographs for fans at the red carpet. Goddard was observed to be more closer to the plaintiff, and appeared to be in conversation with him in one of the photos.
According to Herman, the British teenager decided to come out following the aggressive denials coming from Singer and other defendants in Egan's case. The lawyer added, "He really was concerned about Mike and when he heard the very aggressive denials by the defendants in these cases, he decided he needed to come forward. His main goal was really to show support for Mike and to show he's not alone."
