In a dramatic turn of events, the widow of a store clerk killed in a botched robbery expressed that she was "glad" that two additional suspects, relatives of the gunman, had been charged, calling their alleged actions a stark example of "lack of morals" in the wake of the tragic Virginia shooting.

Further investigation into the crime revealed that the gunman, Alex Lopez, was assisted by his family, his mother Patricia Kinchens and his sister Breanna Lopez, who helped him evade capture by law enforcement.

The mother and sister were both placed under arrest Thursday by the Lady Lake and Wildwood police departments. Breanna Lopez was subsequently denied bond on Friday.

"I'm glad they were caught," Monique Shihadeh, the victim's widow, told WESH2.

"The fact that you could be okay with your child killing someone speaks to you as a person. Your lack of morals. Your lack of value of human life," the widow further remarked.

It was back on May 30th that Lopez, 25, opened fire at convenience store clerk Raied "Ray" Shihadeh in what was supposed to be a simple robbery of the Leesburg store.

The 51-year-old Shihadeh was found by police unconscious, with "at least one apparent gunshot wound".

He would later be airlifted to Ocala Regional Hospital where he would sadly pass away overnight, police revealed.

Lopez would later be arrested by police in Kissimmee on June 26.
