A Georgia firefighter shot her high school sweetheart to death before turning the gun on herself in an apparent murder-suicide, their newly released autopsies revealed.

Raegan Anderson kidnapped and killed ex-boyfriend Chandler Kuhbander, both 24-year-old Liberty County firefighters, of Hinesville, Georgia, in June, authorities confirmed.

Their bodies were discovered inside her vehicle over 400 miles away in Cocke County, Tennessee, five days after she abducted her former lover while he was on a date with another woman at an Olive Garden in their hometown.

Kuhbander was shot multiple times, while Anderson died from a single gunshot wound to the head, a medical examiner determined, WBIR-TV reported, citing the autopsy reports. Based on their levels of decomposition, the pair were likely dead for more than a day before they were discovered.

A suicide note was also found on Anderson.

"I'm sorry to whoever found us. I am sorry to everyone I hurt," the note read, according to Newsweek.

Anderson also penned a final message to her grandmother.

"Tell her how sorry I am," she wrote. "I love you Nanna. I want her to inherit everything."

Family members said Anderson and Kuhbander dated on and off for seven years, until recently calling it quits.

Following the discovery of their remains in July, Kuhbander's mom, Jane, remembered her son as "amazing."

"He worked hard and loved even harder," she previously said in a statement to HNGN. "He never wanted to see anyone sad or suffering. I want people to take away that men are victims too. Be a voice for the voiceless! He wouldn't want this tragedy to be for nothing. Hold your loved ones tighter and never leave angry or without an 'I love you.'"
