A Texas man is on the run after police say he broke into his estranged wife's house, armed to the teeth, murdered her boyfriend in front of her then threatened to do the same to her, if she didn't cooperate.

Michael Maurice Mack, 48, is currently on the run and wanted for capital murder, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez, who released his image on Facebook on Saturday.

Mack allegedly broke into the Wells Station Court home of his estranged wife in the middle of the night on Wednesday, wearing a tactical vest and carrying at least four guns. The wife, who was not identified, told police she woke up to being beaten with a rifle, which Mack then used to shoot her boyfriend, 53-year-old Kelvin Hinton, in the neck, according to KTRK.

Charging documents obtained by KTRK go on to say that Mack then forced his wife to grab one of his pistols, and shoot Hinton's body, threatening to kill her if he didn't help dispose of the body.

After driving nearly two hours to Vidor, Texas, Mack allegedly dumped Hinton's body and then lit him on fire using gasoline. Investigators found Hinton's charred remains.

Mack then drove with his wife back the Houston area, and let her go.

Anyone with info regarding this case or Mack's whereabouts, is urged to contact their local law enforcement agency, our Homicide Unit 713-274-9100, or Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477).
