By

Eight suspects, who were listed in the kidnapping that happened near Arrowtown, are no longer eight. One identity from the suspects has been revealed and it is a teenager from Kawarau Falls. On top of that she is a girl aged 17 under the name of Brooke Sylvia Carpenter.

She is charged for a misdoing that occurred in November, last year. Her charge states: she kidnapped and assaulted an attack on a couple. The couple were a man from Cromwell called Jason Maynard aged 28 with his girlfriend aged 23.

The girlfriend's name is not revealed but the details of how the couple was attacked were. The duo was supposedly trapped in an intersection of State Highway 6 and Crown Range Road. Then and there the victim was attacked. PressReader reported The Timaru Herald's story.

The assault weapons used in the attack were a machete and a meat cleaver. After receiving the worst blows of his life the victim was bundled up in a car and driven to Arrowton where he was left on the side of a road...for dead.

Brooke Carpenter's presence was demanded in Queenstown District Court last December alongside her victim. But Carpenter was primarily allowed suppression of her name on medical basis from Judge Dominic Flatley.

Brooke kept being granted continuing name suppression till last month from Judge Michael Turner. Judge Turner relentlessly kept arranging name suppression until last Monday till a registrar from the court confirmed that there is no legal reason for pursuit of this suppression.

Brooke S. Carpenter was remanded for bail during a post committal meeting along with the other accused members from the gang of eight. No pleas have been issues for any of the eight individuals who Stuff has revealed their identities:

Sam Gordon Coupe aged 28, Daniel Kissell aged 28, Brodie O'Rourke aged 24, Michael Philip Coulter aged 25, Jonathan Burke aged 25, Rachel Maree Faul aged 20 and Charlotte Amelia Spencer Dickson aged 18.
