Hydrogen OS 3.0 Now Available For OnePlus 3, One Plus 3T; Features Better Battery Performance

For OnePlus 3 and 3T users, a new update is available for download but it's not Oxygen. Hydrogen OS 3.0 has just been released for both devices that is based off Android Nougat.

For users who like to switch things up and keep their OnePlus 3 and 3T devices updated, this is the perfect opportunity. It will offer users a different view of Andriod Nougat that is exclusive for OnePlus devices.

The new update for OnePlus 3 and 3T is the Chinese version for both devices which means that the ROM will include Chinese apps. Users can simply delete the Chinese apps while adding Google apps that were deleted by the Hydrogen OS 3.0. The update comes in both Chinese and English which makes it usable for users outside China.

Installing Hydrogen 3.0 for OnePlus 3 and 3T does have its benefits besides updating the firmware. Users are reporting to have better battery performance with call recording as an additional feature as reported by Android Authority.

The update will require 1.2 GB of space and can be downloaded on OnePlus or XDA. XDA also includes links for the Play Store installer which was removed by the Hydrogen OS 3.0 update. For users who wish to download the latest update for OnePlus 3 and 3T that have problems or concerns regarding the installation process, discussions on the XDA may help.

The OnePlus 3 and its updated version the 3T is the company's flagship phone that features top of the line specs based on Pocket-lint's report. Both phones have received great reviews from tech reviewers and the company is supporting both devices with the new Hydrogen OS 3.0 update.

It is still unclear when the OxygenOS version of the Hydrogen OS 3.0 will be released. There are users of the OnePlus 3 and 3T that are certainly waiting for the official English version of the Hydrogen OS 3.0. This will save them the hassle of reinstalling Google apps that was removed from the update.
