When Kim Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint on Oct. 2, 2016, it's no surprise that the "Keeping with the Kardashians" star gave few details regarding her traumatic experience. Today, since the incident, pictures as well as surveillance footage of the robbery was released by the French media.
France's TF1 news channel released surveillance videos and crime scene photos of Kim Kardashian's robbery. The images show the suspects and the hotel where the incident occurred which included the duct tape and zip ties used to tie the celebrity can be found on TMZ.
The suspects responsible for the robbery were called the "Grandpa Robbers" since the perpetrators were aged 54 to 72 years old. They were pursued by the French police for months before their arrest on Jan 9 according to a report from Entertainment Tonight. The 10 apprehended suspects are now facing criminal charges including armed robbery, kidnapping, weapon possession, use of false identity and criminal association in connection with the robbery of Kim Kardashian.
Meanwhile, a source told Entertainment Tonight that Kim Kardashian spoke with French attorneys in New York City to answer questions regarding the heist as well as identify the suspects. The actress gave a detailed description of the suspects including one of them having piercing blue eyes which is a code name used by one of the robbers seen in the footage.
In addition, the source also says that Kim Kardashian just wants the incident to be over and is happy that justice is finally being served. The actress is said to be appreciative of the French authorities and everyone involved in their effort to catch the suspects.
Meanwhile, Kim Kardashian's mother Kris Jenner revealed that filming of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" has been therapeutic for Kim. The mother finds it remarkable to listen to Kim as she tells the incident thinking that it might bring some awareness because it changed the way they live their lives.
