Jeffrey Sandusky, the son of convicted sex offender and former Penn State assistant football coach Jerry Sandusky, has been arrested over child sexual assaults. He is being faced with multiple charges of sexual assault over children, according to court documents from the commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
The younger Sandusky, 41, is faced with 14 counts, which primarily includes soliciting sex from a child under 16, and soliciting child pornography. The charges involving his sexual assault were committed on two different girls at two different times, one in 2013 and another much recently, in 2016.
Sandusky's child sexual assaults were exposed late last year when a girl revealed that he had been texting her repeatedly, requesting her to send him naked photos. The unnamed victim, reportedly told her father, who immediately contacted the police.
During the course of investigation, police discovered another girl who had been victimized by Sandusky. The second victim revealed that Sandusky had asked her to engage in oral sex with him years before, NBC reported.
Both victims described the disturbing methods Sandusky had tried to get them to participate for his sexual cravings. One of the victims of his child sexual assaults said that he even lied to have "studied medicine" just to persuade her into sending him nude photos. In another instance, Sandusky urged the second victim to share nude photos that he believed had been shared with her boyfriend, and he insisted on seeing it.
Sandusky was arraigned Monday, and a preliminary hearing for his child sexual assaults has been scheduled for February 22. Sandusky is being held in county jail on $200,000 bail, according to the documents.
His mother, Dottie Sandusky, was emotional at the hearing and defended him saying he is innocent, that he could not have possibly been involved the child sexual assaults. She has also been a staunch defender of her husband.
Meanwhile, his father, Jerry Sandusky is still talked about as the center of a sexual abuse scandal that rocked Penn State University in 2011. According to CNN, Sandusky was found guilty of 45 charges related to the yearlong sexual abuse and is currently serving in the prison.
